I would like to keep this post simple tonight and push the importance of good friends.
One of your good friends could be anyone. Your sister, brother, cousin, mom, dad, best friend, aunt, uncle, husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, son, daughter, and more.
When I say good friends, I mean the people who always have your back. I mean the people who get you and the people that you can relate to. I mean the friends that you can text or call and tell them whatever you need to. Good friends are the people who no matter whether you live 5 minutes from them, or 2,522 miles from them, the distance seems nonexistent. We went to one of our very good friend’s house today for lunch. They really helped me and my family get through my T1D just a day after I got diagnosed! They are people that we can count on, and that’s why good friends are important. They are people who are constantly there with you every step of the way. They are people who you can talk to when times are hard or celebrate with when there is a smooth ride. They are the people who no matter what happens, in the end , you are still good friends who can count on each other. Value these people, get as many of them as you can, and be a good friend in return to them. And thanks to my many good friends who helped me all throughout my life.
Share this with your good friends to let them know that they are appreciated or send them a text and tell them that they are your good friend.
If someone shared this with you, thanks for being someone’s good friend 🙂
