JDRF Event

Yesterday, we had a JDRF awareness event at a popular clothing store. It was my first event as a JDRF Youth Ambassador and I was pretty nervous! There was quite a few people there and I managed to raise $20 and raise awareness. It was a cool event and I got a lot of pamphlets out to inform people of the amazing work of JDRF.

Turkey!

Around this time of year, our neighborhood gets a special visitor. And that visitor is no other than a big female turkey! I first saw it when I was walking our Golden Retriever. The dog was eyeing something, so I naturally looked at what he was staring at. To my suprise, there was a turkey sitting in the middle of the road! It just hung out around the neighborhood for the next month. It went away during December, but we are glad to report that out little visitor is back and strutting around as usual!
